This article will explain what is needed to launch your BLAZE ECOM menu on a subdomain
Choosing the Subdomain
Typically, we suggest using shop as the subdomain for most retailers.
However, feel free to discuss the subdomain with your Onboarding Manager, as other considerations can be made.
www.shop.rootdomain.com
Confirm the Final Menu URL Slug
The URL slug (or pathname) is defaulted to menu and will suit the needs of most retailers.
If your organization has multiple locations, using location names as the URL slug will help keep things organized.
Your Onboarding Manger will be happy to assist with understanding the use of URL slugs on your BLAZE ECOM menu.

Adding a CNAME Record to Your DNS Settings
It will be necessary for you to add a CNAME record to the DNS settings of your content management system (CMS) so that the subdomain can be connected to BLAZE ECOM.
The steps to add the CNAME to your CMS will depend on which platform you use. If you're unfamiliar with the process, a simple Google search will provide instructions or you can reach out to the support team of your CMS.
DO NOT UPDATE EXISTING CNAME RECORDS WITHOUT CONSULTING YOUR I.T. TEAM OR WEB DEVELOPER
Add a new CNAME to your DNS using the following details:
Type: CNAME
Name: shop (or the chosen subdomain)
Value: tymber.netlifyglobalcdn.com
Your Onboarding Manager will then update the domain on your BLAZE ECOM Mission Control page and the menu will be live on that subdomain and pathname (URL slug)
