BLAZEPAY: Local Network and Firewall Recommendations

If your company utilizes an advanced local network or firewall you may need to do the following steps to ensure a proper connection. These steps are optional for most BLAZEPAY users and should only be performed if initial updates fail.

Configuring your network

⚠️ Important Notice: Advanced Setup Required

This article covers advanced configurations and is intended for users with technical expertise. If the content seems complex or unclear, we strongly recommend consulting with your network administrator or technical team to ensure correct setup and avoid potential issues.

All payment terminals (Castles, Verifone and Datecs) on firmware version v1.100 and above connect to the *.cdn.adyen.com domain to download firmware files and Android apps.

To configure your network for point of sale communications:

  1. If you need to allowlist IP addresses, add BLAZEPAY's in-person payments URLs to your firewall's allowlist.

    1. Access your local area network router settings.

    2. Add the URL *.cdn.adyen.com to your firewall's allowlist to allow outgoing HTTPS traffic from the IP addresses of your POS apps and terminals to them.

    3. Configure your firewall to dynamically check for IP address updates at least every 60 seconds.

  2. Open the ports:

    • tcp/443 to the internet.
    • tcp/8443 on your LAN.

  3. If your integration uses local communications:

    • Make sure that your terminal and POS app are connected to the same local network.
    • Protect the communications between your POS app and the terminal.
