Dual-receipt printer setup

Multiple receipt printers are useful if you have staff at the back of your store passing products to the front-of-store sales employees.

Some cannabis retailers find it useful to print receipts from 2 different receipt printers at time when a sale is made - one to give to the customer, and another to process in the back of store so that the products can be packaged and given to the counter.

BLAZE supports dual-printer setups. This guide will assume that you are using a Bluetooth receipt printer for the front of store (such as with the ELO Paypoint).

The secondary receipt printer must be set up as a network printer. This is because Bluetooth connections can only connect one device to one other, whereas with a network printer you can have multiple iPads sending receipts to a single printer, which is the desired outcome.

  1. Set up your standalone STAR Micronics receipt printer on your network (ask your IT specialist to help with the networking), either over Wifi or LAN. We suggest LAN printers.

  2. Ensure that each of your iPads are on the same network

  3. Go to your BLAZE POS Settings page > Receipt Printing

  4. Select “Refresh printer list”, wait for your network printer to show up, and select it as your secondary printer
