Reports - Analytics - Overview

Learn about the various analytical reports.

In the report section under the "Analytics" tab, you'll see a breakdown of all the different reports that can be generated in BLAZE POS. This article will explain all the reports within the Overview sub-section.

The Overview sub-section contains reports such as Summary, Financials, Sales Trends, Payment types, Day of week/hourly, and Gift cards.

Summary

BLAZE displays segments of key analytical reports in the Summary section so that managers or accountants have access to a snapshot or overview of the store’s financial performance. Users can select multiple locations and date ranges if necessary. These reports can also be viewed individually for further details.

Financials

The Financials section showcases a breakdown of the gross sales, refunds, discounts, net sales, taxes, gift cards, costs, deposits, penny adjustments, online order discrepancies (from e-commerce), and profits. Users can select multiple locations and date ranges if necessary. As well as view the information by day, week, or month.

This report may be particularly valuable when trying to view top-performing locations and will help you understand your break-even point.

Payment Types

The Payment types section provides a breakdown of the total sales completed by different payment methods. Users can select multiple locations and date ranges if necessary. As well as view the information by day, week, or month.

This report may be particularly valuable in reevaluating your sales strategy. For example, if you notice that your cash sales are significantly higher than your credit sales, you may want to adjust your retail prices to better accommodate cash denominations.

Sales trends

The Sales Trends report will give you breakdowns of the number of sales and average cart over a specific period of time. Users can select multiple locations and date ranges if necessary. Information can be viewed by the hour, day, week, or month depending on your selected date range.

Day of week/hourly

The Day of week/hourly section provides a breakdown of the total sales completed each day and hour. Users can select multiple locations and date ranges if necessary.

This report may be particularly valuable in reevaluating your sales and marketing strategy. For example, if you notice sales are slower on Mondays, you may want to initiate a “Monday discount deal” to generate sales on that day.

Gift Cards

The Gift Cards section provides a breakdown of the total number of activated cards, redemptions, discounts and refunds and the corresponding dollar value. Users can also select multiple locations and date ranges if necessary.

Note: you must have your gift card settings enabled in the settings-> gift card section to view the information in this report.
