Learn how to delete and undelete your products.
This article will provide information on how to view, delete, and undelete products in your product list.
Users can delete products from the product list if there are no longer being sold at the store. However, if you accidentally delete products they will not be lost forever and can be restored.
Users can delete any product within the product list but clicking on the 3-verticle dots on the far right of the product. This includes:

Find your deleted products
In the product list, there is an option to filter all your products and select "Deleted products". Note: If the user selects either "Active" or "Inactive", deleted products will not be displayed.
When you delete a product
A warning message will appear prior to deleting the product. It will display how deleting a product will affect your inventory, sales, and reporting. Then it will ask you to confirm the deletion before removing the product.
Note: Deleted products will not show up on the external API. Integration partners will not be able to view your deleted products.
Deleting parent product with variants
When you delete a parent product with variants, any variants that fall within the folder will also be deleted and shown in the filtered list.
Deleting variant products
When you delete specific variant products from the product list, these variants will show as deleted. As there may be additional variants (within the same parent product), the parent product will show as active but the deleted variant will show as deleted.
Note: If you delete all variants within a parent product separately, the parent product will remain active. In this case, it would be best to delete the parent product.
To view a deleted variant within an active or inactive parent product, users can click on the deleted variant within the product list (filtered by deleted products). This will redirect you to the product edit page (View Only). Users will not be able to make changes to deleted products and will need to undelete them prior to editing.
There will be a banner displayed at the top of the page indicating that this deleted product lives within an active or inactive parent product. If you click on the active or inactive parent product, you will be redirected to the active or inactive parent product edit page.
When does the system not let me delete products?
An error message will appear if you are attempting to delete a product (stand-alone, parent product with variants, or variant products) that currently has inventory. This includes a parent product that hosts variants with an inventory.
How to undelete products
When undeleting "Deleted" products, the system will automatically restore them to "Active" products.
Undeleting parent product with variants
When a parent product is undeleted, all its variants will also be undeleted and found in the “Active” product filter.
Undeleting variant products
When a variant is undeleted, its parent product and all the other inactive variants of the parent are undeleted (and set to active)
