POS (Tablet) - Order Hub (Formerly Parked Sales)

Learn how to view and interact with Online and Parked Sales from the Order Hub.

The newly named Order Hub is a powerful tool that allows you to interact with online orders or place an in-store order in a pending or "parked" sale status. It is conveniently located in the same place as the formerly named Parked Sale section and operates in the same efficient way.

How to View All Online and Parked Sales

Accessing the Order Hub is easy. Locate it at the bottom right-hand corner of the POS home screen and tap the "Order Hub" button. A window will appear, divided into two sections: Online Orders and Parked Sales.

Online Orders: This section is for managing and tracking new orders. It lists all the new orders from BLAZE ECOM or other e-commerce providers, allowing you to stay on top of your online sales.

Parked Sales: This section is your control centre for all orders in a "parked" status. For instance, if a customer in-store needs to retrieve their wallet from the car, you can easily "park" their sale, placing it on hold for a later time, saving precious time.

How to Park a Sale

When you tap “Park” at the bottom of the order details, a popup will appear to confirm if you want to park the sale. This will only appear with at least one product in the cart. Once a sale is parked, an order number will appear that can be used to pull up this order at a later time easily.

How to Manage the Online Sales section

This section is devoted to orders from BLAZE ECOM or other e-commerce providers—set up separately. Once configured, any new online order from the web will appear here and be ready to be fulfilled. BLAZE ECOM orders appear instantly, whereas other integrators like Buddi and Dutchie usually take some time. The Online Sales section is used for searching, filtering, cancelling, completing, changing order statuses and even printing receipts and packing slips.

Search: You can search by the order ID or customer name from within the park sales list, as shown below. If a partial value is entered into the search bar, any sales that contain the partial value in the customer name or order ID will appear. BLAZE assumes that the first part of the partial search field matches exactly to the first part of the customer name or order ID.

Filter: Save time by using the buttons underneath the search bar to see at a glance all orders at a specific stage, such as Order Placed, Ready for Pickup, Ready for Delivery, and Out for Delivery.

Cancel: Tap the trash can icon next to the sale you wish to cancel. A confirmation is necessary to finalize the cancellation.

Change Status:  Once you find the order you wish to change, tap it to add the customer and the items associated with the online sale to the cart. Tap the Blue Status. There are three order stages. Orders start on "Order placed" and can then be moved to "Ready for pickup."

Completing orders happens in two ways. Prepaid online orders can be marked complete in the same section on the POS as other status changes. This typically happens when the order is picked up or leaves the store for delivery. When an order is placed online for instore pickup, completion happens when the budtender finishes the checkout process on the tablet POS.

The store needs to acknowledge pre-paid sales. For example, if customers pay online and pick up their orders, they will remain on the Online Sale list until the budtender updates the "ready for pick up" status to "complete."

Messages are sent automatically to customers when a status change occurs with e-commerce platforms like BLAZE ECOM.

How to Validate Online and Parked Sales

You can scan or manually validate the correct products to ensure that the order is fulfilled and continue processing the sale. In order to use this feature, it must be enabled in the dashboard settings under Settings > Inventory > Parked sale barcode validation. For more information, refer to the "POS (iOS) - Parked sale barcode validation" article.

Merging Parked Sales

Parked Sales can be merged together if needed. This could be useful if a customer accidentally placed two unpaid orders on your e-commerce platform.

To complete this follow the below steps:

  1. Add the first parked sale to your cart.

  2. Tap the "Parked" button to bring up your list of parked sales.

  3. Tap the merge arrow icon to merge the two parked sales.

  4. Click "OK" on the confirmation messaging.

This will merge these parked sales into one sale. To re-park the sale, tap the "Park sale" icon in the orange bar at the top of the order details. All products will be merged into one sale.

Order Hub Notifications

The POS will provide an audio and a visual notification to alert you of online orders.

When an online order is received, an alert will play, and a banner will appear on the top of the POS screen. This banner will remain on the screen until the parked sales are reviewed.

Maintaining your Order Hub Sales list

As your order hub sales begin to accumulate, you will need to clean up the order hub sale list.

Sales not processed because the customer never returned to complete the transaction should be reviewed and removed. If these sales are not completed, your parked sales list will grow making it difficult to find active parked orders effectively.
