Socket Mobile scanner not working

Socket Mobile scanners are our barcode scanners of choice over the ELO Paypoint scanners. Some customers have received free courtesy units from us (MSRP $500/unit) because of persistent ELO scanning issues.

Identify the problem
  • Scanner is not connected to the iPad

  • Scanner is not in the right mode (PC or iOS mode)

  • Scanner is appending/prepending magic digits

Customer is using an older 7Qi model

This should not be a problem moving forward, but some customers with older scanner models such as Blended Buds have these. The issue is that the default settings add a single 0 to the front of every scan result.

Scan the following to set the socket 7Qi to not add leading zeros.
